About the position

The Drag Link Technician is responsible for setting up and operating various equipment in a manufacturing environment, adhering to lean production principles. This role involves maintaining performance benchmarks, assisting in production improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental policies. The technician will work primarily on CNC machines and may be required to lift and handle materials regularly.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of equipment in the plant as required.
• Maintain acceptable levels of performance as measured against work cell benchmarks.
• Provide input for continuously improving overall production performance.
• Operate single axis or multi-station CNC controls and automated welding.
• Make minor adjustments, drilling, reaming, turning, chamfering, tapping, milling, and piercing on various part sizes.
• Assist and train fellow team members when required.
• Read and effectively utilize required inspection gauges and interpret parts prints and process sheets.
• Communicate effectively and problem-solve as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and inspection requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to use inspection gauges and read blueprints.
• Basic computer skills required for routine tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with CNC multi-station machining centers.
• Knowledge of tooling and related functions in a manufacturing plant.
