About the position
The position involves planning and supervising drama/theatre lessons in a visual or performing arts camp for children aged 6 to 11 in a day camp setting. The camps include instruction in various disciplines such as two and three-dimensional visual art, drama, dance, music, radio, video, and creative writing. The role requires collaboration with other Arts Camp staff and adherence to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for campers.
Responsibilities
- Reports to Arts Camp Site Director
- Collaborate with other Arts Camp Staff
- Attend to the health, safety and discipline of campers at all times, adhering to all Health Department protocols
- Manage supplies and maintain an organized and safe classroom
- Conduct well organized, age-appropriate classes and execute final sharing
- Maintain positive customer relations with campers and their parents
- Perform administrative tasks that support the efficient running of the program
Requirements
- Experience teaching theatre to children with references
