About The Position
As a member of the ECS team, you will be responsible for performing standard penetrometer testing operations, which includes conducting borings and geoprobes. Your role will involve locating borings in the field, recording required drilling data, and reporting any project-specific issues to the project manager or your supervisor. You will also be tasked with performing maintenance on the drill rig and support truck, reporting any repair and maintenance issues to the drilling supervisor. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to follow company safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for all crew personnel. Additionally, you will safely and accurately load the drill rig and support vehicle each day with necessary supplies, promptly complete time sheets and field paperwork, care for and clean assigned company vehicles and drilling equipment, and maintain professional behavior and quality standards. A willingness to work out of town and on non-standard work schedules when required is essential, along with the ability to perform other duties as assigned.
