About the position

The Drinking Water Process Senior Engineer at Olsson is responsible for enhancing technical expertise and project management capabilities for municipal drinking water projects across the nation. This role involves collaborating with project teams to develop detailed plans, designs, and estimates for various water infrastructure projects, ensuring high water quality and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of the overall drinking water strategy and provide technical oversight during the development of capture plans.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to project teams during project execution and assist in driving growth in the water market.
  • Coordinate with market and discipline leaders to align skills with market trends and ensure strategic business growth.
  • Provide technical expertise on groundwater and surface water treatment processes, including membrane treatment processes.
  • Support and develop marketing strategies, anticipate opportunities, and identify market trends in the drinking water sector.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, teaming partners, industry groups, and stakeholders.
  • Reinforce collaboration and team building, ensuring client focus and commitment to excellence.
  • Continuously build a strong professional network through personal contacts and industry participation.
  • Work directly with clients on projects, developing long-term relationships.
  • Mentor and develop team members to become technical experts in the water market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required; Master's degree in chemical, civil, or environmental engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of drinking water industry experience, including process design and engineering.
  • Must be a licensed professional engineer (PE).
  • Strong technical background in municipal water market, water treatment, water quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring others.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on a team.
  • Active participation in professional organizations.
