About the position

The Drive Systems Area Manager for Innomotics is responsible for account development and sales of Medium Voltage Drives and related Drive Systems across the West Coast Region. This role involves coordinating sales activities, understanding customer needs, and optimizing product positioning to enhance market presence and financial returns. The position requires significant travel and is focused on individual contributions to sales and customer relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support activities in the assigned region to optimize product market position and financial return.
  • Develop an intimate knowledge of assigned customer needs and competitors, and formulate a strategic plan for the region.
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge of Innomotics offerings.
  • Interact with cross-functional project teams to best serve the assigned region and customer base.
  • Support direct account managers and manufacturers' representatives throughout the sales process.
  • Deliver quota and volume targets for MV Drives and Drives Service.
  • Convert and increase wallet share in the assigned region.
  • Leverage End User to drive spec influence with OEM and channel partners.
  • Expand Service agreements/contracts across the installed base.
  • Develop and implement account and gather plans with high data quality.
  • Demonstrate customer application competence and technical product expertise.
  • Prospect and onboard new accounts.
  • Understand customer buying behavior and internal processes.
  • Drive Innomotics Digitalization strategy with all customers.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships and engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-10 years of proven experience selling electrical power equipment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical contexts and acquire knowledge in a technical field.
  • Proven communication skills and ability to influence customers and colleagues.
  • A good mix of Account Management and New Business Development skills.
  • Strong Sales and Marketing background with a track record of success.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5-10 years of proven experience with Medium Voltage Variable Frequency Drives.
  • Experience in Power Electronics design.
  • Experience in targeted customer markets such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Chemical, and Municipal.
