About the position

The Driver-Class A CDL Delivery position is responsible for transporting and delivering materials to customer sites using delivery vehicles and truck-trailer combinations. The role emphasizes adherence to safety regulations, timely delivery of undamaged goods, and providing professional customer service. The driver must handle vehicles weighing over 26,000 pounds and may tow trailers exceeding 10,000 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Load or assist with loading and securing products inside the delivery vehicle.
• Deliver customer orders to specified sites and maneuver vehicles into loading or unloading positions.
• Assist customers with unloading materials safely and accurately.
• Verify order details and maintain logs of delivery duties, including weights, mileage, and locations.
• Act as a customer service liaison, handling concerns and resolving issues as they arise.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles and perform routine safety checks.
• Use handheld devices for compliance with DVIR and HOS, except while driving.
• Maintain hours of service logs and perform pre/post trip inspections.
• Perform credit/product return pick-ups and related paperwork.
• Operate a forklift or non-motorized material handling equipment to load and offload materials.
• Observe all safety procedures to prevent injury and attend periodic safety meetings.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 21+ years old
• Valid driver's license
• Class A CDL license
• Minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience
• 2 years of CDL driving experience strongly preferred
• Pass MVR report
• Obtain a DOT medical card
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to read and speak the English language
