About the position
The Van Driver position at Middle Flint Health & Wellness involves transporting clients and materials to various locations while ensuring their safety and comfort. The role requires familiarity with vehicle maintenance and the ability to perform basic office duties, all while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
Responsibilities
- Transport passengers and/or mail and materials to assigned geographical areas.
- Ensure the safety of the vehicle and passengers during transportation.
- Assist clients in boarding and departing the van, securing seatbelts as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including scheduling oil changes and tire rotations.
- Report all accidents, incidents, and breakdowns involving vehicles.
- Complete and submit appropriate documentation for transportation services.
- Utilize computer and tablet operations for downloading manifests and logging trips.
- Maintain a high-quality customer-focused orientation when providing services.
- Complete all mandated in-service education in a timely manner.
- Assist with minor office duties.
Requirements
- Valid unrestricted Georgia Drivers License.
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders or behavioral needs.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills.
- Dependability.
Nice-to-haves
- One to two years of experience providing transportation for individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
