About the position

The Driver for the Mobile Treatment Unit will be responsible for transporting patients to specified locations and driving the Mobile Van treatment unit to designated treatment access destinations in the Snohomish County area. This role is part of the Lynnwood Comprehensive Treatment Center, which is an expansion of Acadia Healthcare's services aimed at providing medication-assisted treatment for patients recovering from Opioid Use Disorder. The position offers a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, with early morning hours that promote a great work/life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Drives company vehicles in a safe and conscientious manner complying with Company policies and procedures as well as State transportation laws.
  • Interacts with staff and patients in a professional manner, reporting any suspicious behavior to the Clinic Director and/or supervisors.
  • Monitors parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, ensuring safety and patient compliance.
  • Drives mobile unit to destination as scheduled and timely.
  • Assists patients as they get into and out of the vehicle.
  • Operates wheelchair lifts as needed when applicable.
  • Reports traffic delays enroute back to supervisor.
  • Reports any incidents or accidents to supervisor.
  • Completes daily visual of vehicle before and after each trip and reports any problems in writing.
  • Checks the vehicle to ensure there is an appropriate amount of fuel in the tank prior to leaving the facility.
  • Maintains accurate logbooks, including weekly, quarterly, and annual maintenance checks.
  • Maintains vehicle cleanliness, ensuring interiors are kept clean and disinfected at all times.
  • Schedules, organizes, and coordinates vehicle maintenance and repair service shop appointments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Clean driving record with no points
  • Must be comfortable working in an addiction recovery environment
  • Knowledge/experience working within substance abuse and treatment industry preferred
  • Great communicator focused on customer service
  • Adheres to state and local city traffic policies while maintaining a professional demeanor in a busy environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • First Aid/CPR certification is preferred
