About the position

The Spokane Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is seeking a Healthcare Transportation Driver for its Mobile Treatment Unit. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 4:30 AM to 1 PM. The driver will be responsible for transporting patients to specified locations and driving the mobile treatment unit to designated treatment access points in the Spokane, WA area. This role is crucial in expanding the treatment options available to patients seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder, as the mobile unit is equipped with counselors and dispensing nurses to provide high-quality care within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Drives company vehicles in a safe and conscientious manner complying with Company policies and procedures as well as State transportation laws.
  • Interacts with staff and patients in a professional manner, reporting any suspicious behavior to the Clinic Director and/or supervisors.
  • Monitors parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, ensuring safety and patient compliance, and completes frequent sweeps around the entire unit.
  • Drives mobile unit to destination as scheduled and timely.
  • Assists patients as they get into and out of the vehicle.
  • Operates wheelchair lifts as needed when applicable.
  • Reports traffic delays enroute back to supervisor.
  • Reports any incidents or accidents to supervisor.
  • Completes daily visual of vehicle before and after each trip and reports any problems in writing.
  • Checks the vehicle to ensure there is an appropriate amount of fuel in the tank prior to leaving the facility, ensuring vehicles do not arrive at the deployed site with less than 1/3 of the tank full.
  • Maintains accurate logbooks, including weekly, quarterly, and annual maintenance checks.
  • Maintains vehicle cleanliness, ensuring interiors are kept clean and disinfected at all times, and removes all trash upon return to the Clinic.
  • Schedules, organizes, and coordinates vehicle maintenance and repair service shop appointments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Clean driving record with no points
  • Must have a clear understanding of automobiles and maintenance; handyman or security skills are a big plus!
  • Must be comfortable working in an opioid treatment/recovery environment
  • Valid Driver's License in the state of Washington

Nice-to-haves
