About the position

The Driver Helper position at Quality Custom Distribution involves assisting the driver with daily delivery functions, ensuring safe loading and unloading of products, and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities

• Assist Driver with performing daily delivery functions as directed by Supervisor.
• Safely load and unload product at customer locations according to product invoices and company policy.
• Accompany driver in passenger seat of commercial vehicle.
• Assist driver in maneuvering vehicle safely by scanning area and guiding.
• Complete route paperwork as needed.
• Develop and establish good relationships with customers by providing excellent service.
• Handle, organize, and secure inbound and outbound products including empty trays, crates, totes, and pallets.
• Verify accuracy of shipments by counting and calculating product quantities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions, directions, schedules, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to work in ambient temperatures including cold environments.
• Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others.
• Previous food distribution and frozen food handling preferred.
