About the position

The Driver - CDL (B) position at Republic Services involves safely operating a collection truck to provide waste removal services. The role emphasizes adherence to safety standards, compliance with regulations, and delivering excellent customer service while managing waste collection efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure proper working order.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and to the disposal site.
• Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely service.
• Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to departmental procedures.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and clean up spills as necessary.
• Maintain the vehicle's operational readiness and cleanliness after each trip.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports (VCRs).
• Adhere to productivity standards to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Participate in the Company's ReSOP program and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license with air brakes endorsement.
• Good customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Strong time management skills to complete responsibilities efficiently and safely.
• Ability to adhere to company policies and safety standards.
