Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles to transport cargo to and from locations safely and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Protect company equipment and freight from damage, theft, or tampering.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and safe during transport.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Report any irregularities related to cargo pick-up and delivery.
- Comply with all Transportation Security Administration security requirements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum six months related experience; or three years industry driving experience may substitute for education.
- Valid state issued Class C Driver's License.
- Acceptable driving record as defined by DOT regulations and company policy.
- Forklift Driver Certification.
- DOT Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials Certification.
