About the position
The Driver Level 1 position at Russell Standard is essential for the operation of pavement preservation and the production of asphalt emulsions. This role involves operating commercial vehicles to transport materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining accurate logs and paperwork. The position is expected to begin in April 2025 and requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work in various conditions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain appropriate DOT logs and assigned paperwork
- Obtain and haul materials from storage facilities or manufacturing yards
- Perform daily inspections on assigned equipment and report issues
- Follow and obey all road and traffic laws
- Adhere to DOT and FMCSA regulations and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Commercial Driver's License - Class A or B
- Knowledge of single and multi-rear axle trucks
Nice-to-haves
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire)
- Basic vehicle maintenance and upkeep knowledge
