About the position

The Driver Manager at Blackhawk Transport is responsible for overseeing the dispatching and operational guidance of team members within the transportation environment. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with safety procedures, effective communication with customers, and the onboarding of drivers. The position requires a strong understanding of ERP systems and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Learn functions of key positions in the Company.
• Provide operational guidance and dispatching for team members.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and training, including DOT compliance and CSA understanding.
• Communicate with customers regarding dispatch information and set appointments.
• Oversee driver onboarding and integration with accounts.
• Maintain safety procedure compliance.

Requirements

• Firm knowledge of ERP systems such as TMW, Various Dispatch Systems, AS400, Customer ERP Systems, Citrix, PC Miler/Routing, and Maintenance Reporting System.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Good problem resolution skills.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining composure.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience desired.
• Management experience desired.
• Experience in a transportation environment is desired.
• Background in Safety and OSHA compliance is desired.
