About the position

As a Driver & Material Handler at CMK Heating and Cooling LLC, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of field services by efficiently transporting HVAC materials to various job sites. This physically demanding position requires a dependable individual who enjoys hands-on work and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with foremen and office staff to coordinate deliveries and maintain inventory, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a truck and trailer to multiple job sites daily, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
• Regularly lift and carry 50+ pounds with ease, keeping up with the physical demands of the job.
• Secure materials on the truck and trailer using appropriate strapping, ensuring safe transport.
• Unload materials at job sites, maintaining an organized and efficient work area.
• Safely back up a truck with a trailer, demonstrating experience and confidence in this skill.
• Take calls from foremen to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse inventory and cleanliness.
• Exhibit flexibility to adhere to a daily schedule while being adaptable to changes.
• Maintain a clean driving record, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
• Perform in all weather conditions, including extreme heat.
• Contribute to a supportive and hardworking team environment with a positive attitude.
• Show excellent punctuality and reliability to maintain operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience driving a truck with a trailer and navigating job sites.
• Clean driving record and background check required.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy materials throughout the day.
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to properly use commonly used hand tools (e.g., CPVC cutters, tape measure, box cutter, etc.).
