About the position

The CDL Truck Driver I position at Mountain Prairie, LLC, a subsidiary of Hormel Foods, involves the daily transportation of swine and feed under the supervision of the Transportation Manager. The role emphasizes safety, bio-security protocols, and effective communication while working both independently and as part of a team. The driver is responsible for maintaining equipment, ensuring timely deliveries, and adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the accurate delivery of product to the appropriate customer.
• Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Responsible for the safe operation of company equipment according to applicable state and federal laws.
• Maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License.
• Report all damage to company equipment.
• Responsible for pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Requires a current, valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Flexible and able to respond quickly to changing job demands.
