Responsibilities

• Provides safe, timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from various destinations.
• Provides quality service and assistance to residents at all times.
• Assists disabled passengers into and out of community vehicles.
• Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs (Bus Driver only).
• Safely operates cell phone to communicate with community or other drivers to report disruption of service.
• Assists Lead Driver & Transportation Supervisor to maintain all community vehicles in good working condition.
• Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Assists with vehicle registration and license plates renewal process, as directed.
• Inspects and documents vehicle condition on a monthly and per trip basis.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug test.
• Acceptable driving record in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations.
• Current commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred, but not required (PRN coverage for Bus Driver).
• Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety measures.
• Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.
• Must be familiar with driving routes and able to follow directions using cell phone Map apps.
• Must effectively communicate in English.
