About the position

The Transportation Clerical Position is a full-time role based in Rocky Mount, NC, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This position is crucial in monitoring and tracking pay-related transactions for drivers, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date. The role involves researching missing data related to cases, stops, miles driven, and hours worked. Additionally, the position requires calculating overtime, vacation, and holiday eligibility for drivers. The successful candidate will collaborate with supervisors to correct any discrepancies in driver pay before submitting the finalized time for processing. In this role, you will compile and record essential information regarding driver cases, stops, miles, and the time spent driving. You will compute the pay due to drivers, including vacation eligibility and holiday pay, and submit the driver pay for approval prior to processing. The position may also involve other duties as assigned, making it essential for candidates to be adaptable and willing to take on various tasks as needed. Responsibilities

  • Monitors and tracks pay related transactions for drivers.
  • Researches missing data related to cases, stops, and miles as well as hours worked.
  • Calculates overtime, vacation, and holiday eligibility.
  • Works with supervisors to correct driver pay before submitting time for processing.
  • Compiles and records driver case, stops, miles as well as time spent driving.
  • Computes pay due to drivers, vacation eligibility, holiday pay, etc.
  • Submits driver pay for approval prior to processing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 or more years' experience in a payroll role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong mathematical skills.
  • Reliable and flexible with a detail-oriented nature.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
