A Driver Trainer provides mentoring and training for new drivers to learn the processes and procedures of Dot Foods / Dot Transportation pertaining to all driving, pickup, and delivery responsibilities. The role involves understanding and training drivers in the safe operation of all equipment, tracking the progress of assigned new drivers, and providing feedback to those drivers and transportation leadership. Additionally, the Driver Trainer will assist with testing equipment, systems, and processes as needed, while applying lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.
