About the position

The Driver position at Catholic Charities Diocese of Stockton is a part-time role focused on providing safe and reliable transportation for elderly clients in the San Joaquin Transportation Program. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that at-risk seniors have access to essential services such as grocery shopping and medical appointments, while being treated with care and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Transport senior clients to designated destinations.
• Treat clients with courtesy, care, and compassion.
• Provide safe, secure, and dependable travel to clients' destinations.
• Ensure clients are buckled into their seats and wheelchairs are safely secured.
• Participate in mandated reporter training on elder abuse issues and report to appropriate agencies.
• Notify coordinator if a client does not answer the door, is ill, lost, or hurt.
• Inspect the vehicle daily and report any maintenance problems or concerns to the coordinator.

Requirements

• Excellent driving record.
• Valid California State Driver's License and auto insurance.
• Demonstrated commitment to working with seniors, including patience, understanding, and caring.
• Ability to speak English and Spanish.
