About the position

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team at American Petroleum, LLC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting fuel safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and excellent driving skills, particularly in operating various types of vehicles including trucks, tractor-trailers, and refrigerated trailers.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks to transport fuel to designated locations.
• Load and unload fuel in truck.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and fuel delivered.
• Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered during transportation.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred but not required.
• Proven experience in truck driving or as a delivery driver is preferred.
• Ability to load and unload fuel safely and efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations.
