About the position

The Straight Truck Driver at Reico Kitchen & Bath plays a vital role in the Operations team, responsible for making deliveries and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires adherence to DOT safety standards and the operation of delivery vehicles, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.

Responsibilities

• Make deliveries to specified locations indicated on the invoice or by the customer.
• Ensure items are free of damage at the time of delivery.
• Complete deliveries with a positive attitude and professional appearance.
• Become proficient in the AS400 system for entering driver sheets and retrieving Hazardous Materials paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and safe vehicle through proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report all vehicle mechanical problems and damages to a supervisor immediately.
• Drive responsibly and defensively, complying with all state and D.O.T. regulations.
• Communicate effectively with sales teams and supervisors regarding any delivery concerns or issues.
• Complete the driver check-in process after each route, including turning in paperwork and reporting delivery issues.
• Assist with unloading extra and returned materials during driver check-in.
• Assist the warehouse when needed and deliver special runs when returning from routes.
• Attend and participate in all required meetings and training classes.

Requirements

• CDL Class A license required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to become proficient in the AS400 system.
