About the position

The Drivers Helper position at Unified Door and Hardware Group involves assisting the driver in delivering products to customer project sites while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. The role is crucial for maintaining customer service standards and supporting logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Driver operating a max size of 26 and 48 box trucks in a safe and professional manner at all times.
• Deliver products to customer project sites on time, while providing complete customer service and accurate paperwork.
• Ensure route material is loaded and organized properly.
• Report any issues/concerns to Logistics while onsite.
• Assist with loading and unloading material.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and associated equipment in compliance with DOT regulations.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Computer experience is necessary.
• Ability to accurately follow Driver's instructions.
• Clean driving and safety record with proven experience.
• Ability to safely lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Knowledge and understanding of all DOT regulations and safety protocols.
