About the position
The Driving Instructor position at Suburban Driving School involves teaching behind-the-wheel lessons to teenagers and adult students, utilizing state-required lesson plans. The role offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing instructors to set their own hours through a self-scheduling software. The school emphasizes safety and quality instruction, aiming to help students become skillful and safe drivers.
Responsibilities
- Teach behind-the-wheel lessons using state-required lesson plans.
- Instruct mainly teenagers and some adult students in the driver training vehicle.
- Set a flexible schedule in advance using the 24/7 Student Self Scheduling software.
- Check for cancellations before leaving for student appointments.
- Electronically submit all state and company required documents.
- Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures and state records.
Requirements
- Must have held a driver's license for 5 years or more.
- Must have no more than 1 ticket in the past 5 years.
- Experience in teaching or coaching is helpful but not required.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior teaching or coaching experience.
