About the position
A Driving Instructor at Capabilities LLC is responsible for teaching individuals, including those with disabilities, the necessary skills to obtain their learner's permit and driver's license. This role involves one-on-one instruction on traffic laws, safety, and responsible driving, as well as accompanying students to their driving tests to support them in achieving their goals.
Responsibilities
- Teach traffic laws, signs, and safe driving practices to students aged 16 and older.
- Provide one-on-one driving instruction to individuals with and without disabilities.
- Accompany students to the testing site for their driving tests.
- Support and celebrate students' achievements in obtaining their driver's licenses.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to type 25 words per minute and navigate a company-issued laptop.
- Clean driving record and ability to teach driving in company vehicles.
- Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
