About the position
The Drop Bury Technician position at Next Solutions involves the installation and maintenance of underground service lines for various TV and internet service providers. The role focuses on ensuring quality service delivery while maintaining safety and compliance with industry standards. Technicians will work outdoors, often in varying conditions, and are expected to restore job sites to their original state after completing installations.
Responsibilities
- Bury service lines at a depth of 6" to 24" using hand trenching, drop plows, and boring techniques.
- Read and understand existing underground facility locates.
- Identify and locate unmarked utilities.
- Utilize basic hand tools, compression tools, and stripping tools provided by the company.
- Restore job site to its original condition after work is completed.
- Review all requested and existing services with the customer before installation of new lines.
- Conduct quality inspections of work performed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working outdoors.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs consistently.
- Must pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Nice-to-haves
- Fiber experience is a plus, but not required.
