About the position

Newport Racing & Gaming is a new gaming facility currently under construction in Newport, Kentucky, strategically located just 12 miles from Turfway Park and 3 miles from downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. The facility will feature 500 popular, thrilling, state-of-the-art HRM games, a simulcast area with a VIP section, and a bar. The Count Team Attendant plays a crucial role within the Drop Crew, which includes responsibilities such as Drop Box Openers, Currency Counter Operator, and Recorder. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity and security of the gaming operations by adhering to company count policies and various state gaming regulatory requirements. As a Count Team Attendant, you will be responsible for collecting gaming device drop boxes from HRM machines and safeguarding un-audited assets in storage carts. You will obtain HRM machine drop boxes from these storage carts, open them, and empty the un-audited money out of all boxes. Additionally, you will run the money through the currency counter for counting and record cash and paperwork activity on the drop count sheets. It is also your responsibility to verify each shift's bundles and strapped currency on a scope basis, key in information into the computer, and maintain cleanliness in the count room area. The role requires you to conduct yourself in a manner that reflects positively on the property and encourages others to do the same, while also performing related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience and a gaming background preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain a license to work at the facility from the regulatory body.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a gaming environment is preferred.
