Responsibilities

  • Screen and assess clients' needs to determine the level of care required.
  • Coordinate access to treatment services for clients.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive service plans for clients.
  • Monitor treatment progress and maintain detailed progress notes and reports.
  • Advocate for clients with other agencies and organizations to maximize benefits.
  • Conduct interviews and build rapport with clients to effectively meet their needs.

Requirements

  • One year as a Drug and Alcohol Case Management Specialist Trainee; or
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Dependency, Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Nursing or a related field; and one year direct service experience in alcohol or drug treatment; or
  • A bachelor's degree supplemented by 18 college credits in relevant social sciences and one year direct service experience in alcohol or drug treatment; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a government or non-profit setting.
  • Knowledge of local drug and alcohol treatment resources.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
