The Drug-GM Clerk at Fred Meyer is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. This part-time role involves assisting the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals while maintaining a safe and clean environment. Responsibilities

  • Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
  • Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.
  • Monitor established quality assurance standards.
  • Encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for customers.
  • Answer questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department.
  • Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
  • Inform customers of Drug GM specials and recommend items to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Review 'sell by' dates and take appropriate action.
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
  • Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
  • Display a positive attitude and stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
  • Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs needed.
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents and report safety risks or illegal activities.
