About the position

This position is designed to prepare an individual for a department manager role within the organization. The selected candidate will undergo a comprehensive training program, both internally and externally, to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage a department. The role emphasizes creating an outstanding customer experience, achieving sales and profit goals, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. The candidate will also be responsible for supervising daily operations and ensuring adherence to quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Complete a 4-12 week training program in preparation for a department manager position.
  • Travel within the division to train and provide relief as needed.
  • Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customer return.
  • Achieve sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor quality assurance standards.
  • Direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the department.
  • Support the day-to-day functions of the Drug/GM operations.
  • Encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service and embrace company values.

Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
  • Basic math skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction.

Nice-to-haves

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to collaborate with associates and promote teamwork.
  • Experience in establishing performance goals for a department.
  • Skills in developing adequate scheduling to manage customer volume.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, company guidelines, and food safety regulations.
