About the position

The Drupal Developer will be responsible for planning, developing, testing, deploying, supporting, and enhancing Drupal websites. This full-time remote position requires expertise in both automated and manual testing, as well as collaboration with team members to ensure high-quality web development practices are followed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, apply, and implement tests and automated testing.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide insights on how to solve them.
  • Keep tests up to date with the latest code changes and deployments.
  • Collaborate with team members on projects to plan, develop, test, deploy, support, and enhance Drupal websites.
  • Work independently and efficiently as required.
  • Communicate with management and stakeholders to understand business requirements.
  • Implement best practices for website accessibility according to published guidelines.
  • Participate in code quality checks and deployment processes.
  • Work with cloud platform vendors and infrastructure support teams to manage cloud-hosted website environments.
  • Perform code updates to ensure website stability and security.
  • Stay updated with the latest in Drupal developments and trends.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members regarding best practices in Drupal.
  • Ensure all websites meet client standards for information security.
  • Contribute expertise to other areas of web development and document troubleshooting steps.
  • Test all code, develop automated test suites, and provide documentation for team members.
  • Collaborate with a team of Drupal developers to deliver dynamic websites that meet coding and design standards.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with the latest version of Drupal and its dependencies.
  • Adept at writing and executing automated tests and experienced with manual testing.
  • Proficient in PHP, with 4 years of experience in Drupal site building, features, and theming.
  • Experience with Drupal 10 and 11 ecosystem components (Git, Composer, TWIG).
  • 4 years of experience with Playwright.
  • 4 years of experience developing a strategy for site testing and understanding Drupal architecture.
  • 4 years of experience with Drupal user interface development, including theme development and customization.
  • 4 years of experience coding and debugging in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • 4 years of experience working in an iterative development environment (Jira, GitHub Projects, Agile, SCRUM).
  • 6 years of experience with advanced PHP development frameworks and workflows (Symfony, Composer).
  • Bachelor's Degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Acquia Drupal Developer Certification is highly desirable.
  • 5 years of experience with Acquia tools and solutions (Cloud IDE, Acquia Pipelines, BLT, DDEV, Acquia Cloud).
