About the position

The Dry Goods Assistant Store Manager is responsible for motivating associates to provide exceptional customer service while also executing sales associate duties. This role focuses on developing relationships to enhance store business, assessing associate performance, and implementing solutions to meet customer and store needs. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate associates to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Train, coach, and lead by example
  • Develop relationships to grow store business
  • Execute all duties of a sales associate and achieve individual sales and account goals
  • Assess associate performance to improve service quality and increase sales
  • Develop and implement solutions to solve customer problems and store needs
  • Be available to work a rotation of day, evening, and weekend shifts

Requirements

  • Experience in retail management or a similar role
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Ability to assess and improve associate performance
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts
