About the position

The Dry Goods Assistant Store Manager plays a crucial role in motivating associates to provide exceptional customer service while also managing store operations. This position involves training and coaching staff, developing customer relationships, and executing sales associate duties to meet individual and store sales goals. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assessing associate performance and implementing solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and store performance.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate associates to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Train, coach, and lead by example.
  • Develop relationships to grow store business.
  • Execute all duties of a sales associate and achieve individual sales and account goals.
  • Assess associate performance to improve the quality of service the customer receives, increase sales, and meet store goals.
  • Develop and implement solutions to solve customer problems and store needs.
  • Be available to work a rotation of day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Requirements

  • Experience in retail management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
