In this role, you will utilize the Scheduler system to analyze daily staffing needs for our 60+ bed mental health facility, addressing staff shortages and scheduling permanent and on-call staff across all shifts. You will also be involved in assigning overtime staff as needed, collaborating closely with nursing and security supervisors to maintain optimal staffing levels. Additionally, you will conduct research to identify root causes of overtime and unscheduled leave, providing insights that will help improve operational efficiency and staff satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the operation of specialized programs at Olympic Heritage Behavioral Health.
  • Analyze complex program data and conduct research to inform decision-making.
  • Implement short-term activities related to daily safe nursing scheduling and overtime reduction.
  • Provide detailed reports on performance measures, overtime, and unscheduled leave use.
  • Utilize the Scheduler system to analyze daily staffing needs for a 60+ bed mental health facility.
  • Schedule permanent and on-call staff across all shifts as vacancies occur.
  • Assign overtime staff to cover vacancies in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
  • Collaborate with nursing and security supervisors to maintain adequate staffing levels.
  • Conduct root cause analysis related to overtime and unscheduled leave use.
  • Analyze management problems such as overtime use and the effective use of on-call employees.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience analyzing information and generating reports for management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office products, such as Word and Excel.
  • Experience with an electronic scheduling system.
  • Great attention to detail.
