Be a part of something new! The Lake Burien Transitional Care Facility is being established by Washington state's Department of Social and Health Services, in collaboration with the Department of Children, Youth and Families, Health Care Authority, and with generous support from MultiCare and Seattle Children's Hospital. The journey-level System Administrator will play a crucial role in providing assessment, planning, advice, and direct information technology (IT) resources to support the 24/7 IT strategy of the Lake Burien Transitional Care Facility. This facility is set to open with 12 beds and 108 full-time employees, with potential growth to 24 beds and over 196 full-time employees. It aims to serve youth with co-occurring mental health and intellectual/developmental disabilities. The facility has been designed with children and youth in mind, featuring accessible spaces for onsite educational services and therapies, as well as access to outdoor spaces. Initially, the voluntary facility will serve 12 youth aged 13 and older who have complex needs, including mental illness or substance use disorders. The System Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and security of the IT systems that support this important work. In this role, you will provide system administration and network services for the facility, ensuring that all IT resources are available, functional, and secure. You will conduct functional and connectivity testing, maintain baseline system security, oversee security access, and manage the procurement of IT equipment. Additionally, you will communicate, collaborate, develop, and document all aspects of application solution activities both on premises and in the Cloud.
