We advance the economic, social, cultural, and overall health of the local, national, and international communities served by ASU. Dreamscape Learn (DSL) is a collaborative venture between Dreamscape Immersive and Arizona State University, merging the most advanced experiential pedagogy with the entertainment industry's best cinematic storytelling to deliver immersive learning experiences in virtual reality (VR). These immersive experiences combine the emotional power of Hollywood storytelling, the visceral excitement of theme park rides, and an extraordinary mix of full body tracking and interactivity to create stories and worlds that push the limits of what is possible in virtual reality. EdPlus at ASU seeks an Instructional Designer to join a team that creates innovative curricula enhanced by the immersive technologies of Dreamscape Learn. This opportunity could be an ideal fit if you possess a strong passion for creating and delivering cutting-edge educational products and solutions, encompassing virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. Under general direction, the instructional designer will collaborate with other designers, story writers, VR developers, and subject-matter experts to design and implement engaging, interactive curricula using best practices in education. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues and unit leadership to develop, implement, evaluate, and refine learning design standards, procedures, and protocols. They will support the design and delivery of digital course content, materials, interactive and multimedia technology-driven components, and other learning materials, consistent with established design and development processes to ensure flexibility and reusability. The role also involves evaluating the effectiveness of technology and adapting learning materials to improve student outcomes, developing resources for instructors, and collecting and analyzing data related to online initiatives for continual improvement.
