About the position

The DSP Applications Software Engineer will be part of a team focused on developing Qualcomm's AI software stack. This role involves optimizing neural network performance and accuracy, enabling advanced network models, and collaborating with the architecture team to define next-generation network processing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Developing AI SW stack on Qualcomm NSP
• Evaluating and optimizing neural networks runtime performance and accuracy
• Working to enable state of the art network models and new AI SW features to meet customer use-cases
• Collaborating with architecture team to define next generation NSP

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience
• OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience
• OR PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience
• 2+ years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in C/C++ and Python
• Experience in Embedded systems development
• Experience in AI/ML frameworks like Pytorch, Tensor flow, ONNX, etc.
• Background in mathematical algorithms using fast math libraries and vector instruction sets
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, analytical and debugging skills
• Demonstrated ability to learn, think and adapt in a fast-changing environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
