About the position

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) role at PennReach, Inc. involves providing essential in-home care and support to individuals with special needs. The DSP will assist residents in achieving their daily living goals, ensuring they maintain a quality life in their own apartments or group homes. This position is crucial for fostering independence and community integration for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Works a flexible 40 hour week, may be assigned to one or varied programs.
• Assists individuals, as necessary, in daily living skills.
• Completes training with individuals toward Individualized Habilitation Plan (IHP) goals.
• Attends conferences, seminars, and training relevant to the position.
• Administers medication and completes documentation of the same.
• Accompanies individuals to and from appointments and activities.
• Builds a support network between the individuals and community members.
• Accurately completes all in-house documentation.
• Participates in Circle(s) of Support for personal futures planning.
• Completes all duties as delegated by the Residential Manager/Assistant Residential Manager.
• Must successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency in all areas of required training.
• Performs any and all duties requested of supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver's license valid in the State of NJ with a good driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
