About the position

The Direct Support Professional House Lead at Redwood Family Care Network is responsible for supervising and providing support to adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for individuals by assisting with daily living activities, promoting social interactions, and ensuring a safe and healthy environment. The House Lead will work closely with clients to help them achieve their personal goals as outlined in their Individual Program Plans (IPP).

Responsibilities

  • Assist adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives.
  • Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as written in Individual Program Plans.
  • Support the needs and goals of each resident by participating in the development of IPP/ISP goals.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for the clients.
  • Encourage residents to socialize among peers and participate in leisure activities.
  • Assist clients with personal care such as grooming and bathroom needs.
  • Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
  • Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans as necessary.
  • Report any incidents or problems and communicate daily with administrators.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have DSP 1 & 2 Certificates.
  • 1 year experience directly supervising and providing services to persons with developmental disabilities.
  • Must have CPR and First Aid certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must obtain ARF (Adult Residential Facility) Certificate within 90 days.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with adults with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses.
  • Valid in-state driver's license, over 21 years old, with a driving record of no more than 2 points in the last 3 years.

Nice-to-haves

  • CPI certification preferred.
