About the position

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) House Lead is responsible for supervising and providing support to adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and promoting social interactions. The DSP House Lead plays a crucial role in implementing individual program plans and ensuring the well-being of residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives.
• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as written in Individual Program Plans.
• Support the needs and goals of each resident by participating in the development of IPP/ISP goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for the clients.
• Encourage residents to socialize among peers and participate in leisure activities.
• Assist clients with personal care such as grooming and bathroom needs.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans as necessary.
• Report any incidents or problems and communicate daily with administrators.

Requirements

• Must have DSP 1 & 2 Certificates.
• 1 year experience directly supervising and providing services to persons with developmental disabilities.
• Valid in-state driver's license and a clean driving record with no more than 2 points in the last 3 years.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

• CPI certification preferred.
• Experience working with adults with mental illnesses such as Bipolar.
