About the position
This Software Engineering position at BAE Systems focuses on developing advanced software for detecting and processing complex communications signals. The position requires strong communication skills and expertise in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), with responsibilities spanning the full software lifecycle from requirements to integration and testing.
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in the development of software for detection, identification, and processing of complex communications signals.
- Plan, develop specifications, code, and test moderately complex software and/or DSP programs.
- Assist in integration testing, algorithm and data analysis, and software troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with other engineers to align projects with career aspirations and development goals.
Requirements
- Must have an active Secret clearance.
- Experience with Object Oriented design and software development practices in C++ or another high-level Object Oriented language.
- Willingness to perform a wide variety of related tasks.
- Experience developing applications in distributed, multi-threaded, real-time, embedded, low latency, DSP, device control, or SDR.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience developing algorithms in MATLAB.
- General Purpose Graphical Processing Unit (GPU) development using OPENCL or CUDA.
- Experience with Cloud Native Technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Harbor, Helm).
- Experience with Agile Development and DevSecOps.
- Strong Math Skills.
