About the position

The Store Associate at DSW provides exceptional customer service to in-store shoppers and those using omni-channel services. This role involves assisting customers, managing merchandise, and ensuring a clean and safe shopping environment. Store Associates act as brand ambassadors, embodying the company's values and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, assessing their needs and providing personalized service.
• Share information about the DSW Loyalty program and assist in enrolling new members.
• Answer product-related questions and complete customer transactions for in-store and digital orders.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe shopping environment by performing regular cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Receive inbound freight and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to DSW standards.
• Complete all functions of the fulfillment process, including locating items and ensuring readiness for pick up/delivery.
• Utilize company tools to check product availability and assist customers in ordering items.
• Follow all policies and procedures during customer transactions, ensuring accuracy in money handling and change provision.
• Collaborate with the Customer Experience Leader (CEL) to address escalated customer service issues.
• Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions, demonstrating teamwork and inclusivity.

• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently.
