About the position

The Lead Store Associate at DSW plays a crucial role in assisting store management to drive sales and enhance the customer experience. This part-time position focuses on inventory management, customer service, and operational efficiency while promoting a positive work environment. The Lead Store Associate is responsible for ensuring that store standards are met and that associates are engaged in delivering exceptional service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist store management in driving sales and achieving results.
• Model customer service behaviors and ensure a positive in-store experience.
• Complete daily opening and closing tasks, including store cleaning and maintenance.
• Manage cashwrap activities and promote the DSW loyalty program.
• Communicate daily, weekly, and monthly goals to associates and ensure they are met.
• Supervise and participate in inventory management activities, including freight receipt and markdowns.
• Assist with omni-channel activities in the store, such as Charge/Send and BOPIS/BOSTS.
• Maintain a safe environment for customers and associates by ensuring equipment is in good condition.
• Train, coach, and provide feedback to associates, supporting their development.
• Recognize and reward associates through company recognition tools.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of retail experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Professionalism and ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
