The Lead Store Associate at DSW plays a crucial role in assisting store management to drive sales and enhance customer experience. This part-time position focuses on maintaining store standards, managing inventory, and ensuring operational compliance while fostering a positive work environment. The Lead Store Associate is responsible for customer service, inventory management, and supporting human resources functions within the store.

Responsibilities

• Maintain in-store experience by modeling customer engagement behaviors and responding to customer requests with urgency.
• Ensure customers have a positive experience by upholding DSW store standards and completing daily operational tasks.
• Manage cashwrap activities and promote the DSW loyalty program among associates and customers.
• Meet metric-based goals by communicating business trends and assigning tasks throughout the day.
• Assist in planning and executing inventory management activities, including freight receipt and markdowns.
• Support omni activities in-store, such as Charge/Send and BOPIS/BOSTS.
• Leverage inventory reports to enhance productivity and merchandise presentation.
• Ensure a safe environment for customers and associates by maintaining equipment and supply inventory.
• Train, coach, and provide feedback to associates, supporting the management team in performance evaluations.
• Recognize associates through company recognition tools.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of retail experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Professionalism and ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
