About the position

The position involves maintaining a high-quality in-store experience for customers at DSW by modeling customer engagement behaviors, managing inventory, and supporting the store leadership team. The role requires a focus on customer service, inventory management, and human resources, ensuring that store standards are met and associates are trained and recognized for their contributions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain In-Store Experience by modeling CEL behaviors and responding to customer requests with urgency.
• Ensure customers have a positive experience by maintaining DSW store standards and completing daily open/close tasks.
• Manage all activities related to the cashwrap, promoting the DSW loyalty program among associates and customers.
• Meet metric-based goals by communicating daily/weekly/monthly objectives and business trends to Store Manager or other leaders.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or other leaders.
• Assist management with omni activities in store including Charge/Send, BOPIS/BOSTS, and Delivery.
• Leverage inventory reports to maximize productivity and merchandise presentation on the sales floor.
• Ensure a safe environment for customers and associates by maintaining equipment and conducting regular checks.
• Maintain supply inventory for successful floor moves, markdowns, and fulfillment in various areas.
• Complete all information related to audits, donations, transfers, mismates, damages, etc.
• Support the store leadership team by training, coaching, and providing feedback to associates.
• Provide feedback to the Store Manager on associate performance and communicate associate relations issues for follow-up.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years retail experience
• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Professionalism
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
