About the position

The Store Manager at DSW is responsible for leading the store team to maximize business results while ensuring exceptional customer experiences. This role involves strategic planning, operational excellence, and fostering a collaborative environment to achieve company objectives and enhance the DSW brand image. The Store Manager is accountable for staffing, training, and developing associates, as well as maintaining high standards of merchandising and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Implement financial plans to maintain KPI performance and facilitate exceptional customer experiences.
• Coach the store team on the link between service behaviors and business results.
• Provide leadership, feedback, and recognition to improve financial performance.
• Ensure effective communication of direction and education to the team.
• Maintain optimal staffing and scheduling responsive to traffic and business trends.
• Respond to customer feedback with urgency.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard managers and associates in a timely manner.
• Assess team performance and provide coaching, training, and development.
• Ensure store appearance and visual standards are consistent with the DSW brand image.
• Manage resources to maximize financial goals and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Oversee daily store cleaning, recovery, maintenance, and inventory.
