About the position

The Direct to Consumer (DTC) Operations Specialist at REX HILL Winery is responsible for providing operational and administrative support across various DTC channels, including Wine Club, E-commerce, Tasting Room, and Events/Hospitality. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, organizational skills, and a passion for wine and customer service to enhance DTC performance and build brand loyalty while achieving sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Direct Sales Operations Manager to organize and execute all facets of the Wine Club business.
  • Serve as the lead on all club member communication and oversee the Will Call process, including tracking orders and managing unclaimed orders.
  • Educate DTC staff on Wine Club benefits, shipments, and sales initiatives.
  • Achieve e-commerce sales goals through strategic initiatives in collaboration with the Direct Sales Operations Manager and Marketing partners.
  • Oversee and maintain e-commerce sales systems, including order processing and inventory management.
  • Provide exceptional wine presentations and guest education in the Tasting Room.
  • Assist with operational and administrative tasks in the Tasting Room to meet sales goals.
  • Generate regular and ad hoc reports for performance tracking and manage wine inventory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of administrative experience required.
  • Must be 21 years of age with a valid OLCC card.
  • Prior experience in hospitality or hosting, with a focus on wine preferred.
  • Proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) systems such as Wine Direct, D365, or Commerce7.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Schedule flexibility for weekend, holiday, and occasional evening shifts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in wine sales or marketing.
  • Knowledge of wine regions and varietals.
