About the position

The DTC Planner position at Liberated Brands is a crucial role within our Direct to Consumer (DTC) channel, focusing on the development and execution of financial sales, gross margin, and inventory plans for both pre-season and in-season periods. This role requires a strategic mindset and a strong analytical background to effectively manage and optimize merchandise planning processes. The DTC Planner will be responsible for presenting the monthly category level open-to-buy process, creating and maintaining annual, seasonal, and monthly merchandise plans, and providing strategic buy quantities to the Buying team. In addition to these responsibilities, the DTC Planner will analyze current data and trends to identify risks and opportunities within the business, recommending strategies to achieve financial sales goals. This includes maximizing opportunities through key item programs and developing, maintaining, and updating tools and reports to support the business's needs. The role also involves partnering with cross-functional teams to implement consistent and profitable in-season replenishment strategies, reviewing new store floor plans to ensure ideal presentation levels are met, and providing pricing and promotional recommendations. The DTC Planner will also perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the DTC channel. This position is hybrid, requiring hours out of our headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA, and is designed for individuals who are curious, innovative, strategic, and results-driven. Responsibilities

  • Build financial sales, gross margin, and inventory plans for pre-season and in-season periods.
  • Present monthly category level open-to-buy process.
  • Create and maintain annual, seasonal, and monthly merchandise plans.
  • Provide strategic buy quantities to the Buying team.
  • Analyze current data and trends to identify risks and opportunities to business and recommend strategies to achieve financial sales goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of DTC Retail Planning or relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Retail Math and Excel.
  • Passionate about analyzing information and identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to work in a results-oriented team environment.
  • Takes initiative to drive business and think outside of the box.
