About the position

The Dual Credit Events and Onboarding Specialist at Lake Land College is responsible for supporting the operation of the Dual Credit Program and the Honors Experience. This role involves event planning, student onboarding, communication with program partners, and maintaining accurate student records. The specialist will work closely with students, faculty, and high school partners to ensure the smooth operation of dual credit initiatives and honors programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Dual Credit Program projects and initiatives, including communication with high school partners, parents, and students.
  • Ensure all student records and databases are up-to-date and accurate, including academic records and enrollment forms.
  • Work cooperatively with partner high schools and dual credit coordinators to communicate program processes and student issues.
  • Enter detailed data into Excel documents and Ellucian/Colleague software.
  • Assist with Dual Credit Program administrative functions and compliance reporting.
  • Provide assistance with Honors Experience program information and data entry.
  • Support marketing and promotions of Honors Experience initiatives and social media.
  • Attend meetings and events related to the programs.
  • Communicate program requirements with Honors Experience students and update Phi Theta Kappa students.
  • Work with the Honors Experience Faculty Advisor on program courses and processes.
  • Maintain personnel records and onboarding processes for high school personnel.
  • Assist with maintaining school and course rosters.
  • Prepare and maintain program reports and records.
  • Coordinate instructor materials and assessment testing at high schools.
  • Register students and coordinate class changes and withdrawals.
  • Organize necessary course material and distribute student evaluations.
  • Schedule meetings and events using Microsoft Outlook; revise departmental forms as needed.
  • Assist with events such as the Annual Academic Challenge Competition and Dual Credit Kickoff.
  • Travel to high schools for events, presentations, and testing as needed.
  • Work with the marketing department on advertisements and student communications.
  • Create and coordinate high school events to support student transitions into higher education.
  • Coordinate summer school programming.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of two years office experience in a college or secondary school environment.
  • Familiarity with community college environment, business etiquette, and general office procedures.
  • Excellent computer, organizational, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
