About the position

Imperial Dade, a leading North American distributor, is seeking a dedicated individual for the Dual Delivery Driver/Warehouse role in Temple, TX. This position is ideal for those looking to advance their career in a collaborative team-based environment. The primary focus of this role is to manage route deliveries while also providing warehouse assistance. The work schedule is set for day shifts, specifically from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with the possibility of overtime as needed. As a key player in the logistics and supply chain operations, the Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate will be responsible for safely operating a 26' box truck equipped with air brakes. This role requires meticulous tracking and documentation of activity logs, as well as reporting any issues or incidents to dispatch. The associate will also conduct inspections of the truck before and after trips, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. In addition to driving responsibilities, the associate will review incoming material orders and pick tickets, locate materials on warehouse shelves, and utilize equipment such as order pickers, pallet jacks, or forklifts to facilitate the delivery process. The role may also involve unloading trucks and performing other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency of the warehouse operations. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a 26' box truck with air brakes
  • Properly track and document activity log
  • Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
  • Inspect the truck before and after trips
  • Review incoming material orders/pick tickets
  • Locate materials on shelves in the warehouse
  • Place materials on an order picker, pallet jack, or forklift
  • Deliver items to the loading area
  • Unload trucks
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent
  • 1 year of recent Delivery Driver experience
  • Valid commercial driver's license
  • Good driving record
  • Must be able to pass a DOT medical exam
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • 1-year minimum of warehouse experience
  • 1-year minimum of electric pallet jack experience
  • 1-year of life gate experience
  • Forklift/Order Picker experience is a plus
